Deciding On A Jacket

There should be a choice of jackets in any well-equipped
closet. Jackets can be worn at any time in any place -
formal or casual, from the blazer to the leather jacket.
If your wardrobe is ample then it will disgorge the right
jacket for any situation you care to name. You can look
absolutely fantastic if you get it right, but you can get
it wrong if you make one of the classic mistakes. In this
article I'll examine some of those potential mistakes so we
do not make them.
Even though it is possible to wear the right jacket in any
circumstance, plenty of men try to get by on a single
jacket. It tends to be a seldom used item, just taking up
space until that wedding invitation or other church event
necessitates it. And there is the reason it is not used -
it is a jacket that is only good for this kind of
celebration. So if you say you never wear a jacket, maybe
you are just thinking of this jacket, the wrong jacket. If
you wore this on any normal occasion you would look like an
undertaker.
The opposite effect will be achieved by wearing a well
chosen jacket. The wearer will appear stylish, relaxed and
easygoing. Moreover, wearing a jacket that is cut well can
give the impression that our body shape is better than it
actually is! Choose your color carefully - it should look
good on you and rather than matching your trousers should
contrast or compliment them. One overall color gives the
impression of a suit and therefore of formality, or else
looks like you have no idea how to put colors together.
This is the reason people play safe with colors such as
brown and beige. It is a classic combination and can look
good, if a little dull. But there are lots of other colors
and mixtures of colors you could go for. Take someone
along whose opinion you value and get their honest advice.
Flicking through magazines also gives you an idea of the
things that are being worn at the moment that might look
good on you. However, bear in mind that that jumper might
not look quite as good on you as it does on Brad Bitt.
When it comes to jacket choice for females there are some
differences in how to pick the right jacket, but when the
look comes right it is just as smart and relaxed as the
male jacket. Women's jackets vary from men's in that the
length varies a lot and is a key factor in getting the
jacket right. A woman's natural shape and height is the
key to getting the jacket choice spot on.
Some things to think about are as follows: shorter women
should stick to jackets that stop at the waist rather than
something that continues beyond the hips as the latter will
tend to make her look shorter than she is. Women with
curves are better off looking at jackets that are longer as
jackets that are nipped in at the waist or stop at the hips
will only emphasis these curves. Taller women tend to look
great in longer jackets.
In short, the jacket is the best choice in so many places
at so many times that we should all pack our wardrobes with
jackets.
